The Iowa Water Quality Information System (IWQIS), provided by the Iowa Institute of Hydraulics Research, allows access to real-time water quality data and information. 

AQuIA, provided by the Iowa DNR’s Water Quality Monitoring and Assessment (WQMA) section, is a public information portal for retrieving the results of water monitoring conducted by the WQMA section or one of its designees. 

The Iowa Flood Information System (IFIS), provided by the Iowa Flood Center, is a one-stop web platform to access community-based flood conditions, forecasts, visualizations, inundation maps, and other information.

The National Water Dashboard (NWD), provided by the U.S. Geological Survey, is a mobile, interactive tool that provides real-time information on water levels, weather, and flood forecasts. 

Incredible Wetlands

This award-winning documentary by Water Rocks! explores the biologically productive, and diverse, nature of wetlands and the vital role they play to life on Earth. The film highlights several Iowans (including a couple from Madison SWCD!) who are involved in wetland restoration or construction in Iowa. It explores the wealth of biodiversity in wetlands, their importance for migratory birds and their water quality improvement benefits. Through video and images, this film is witness to the beauty of wetlands.
