The Madison, Adair, and Union Soil and Water Conservation Districts recently welcomed Triston Davidson into his new role as Project Coordinator for the North Thompson River Water Quality Project.
Triston was previously employed as the District Soil and Water Resource Technician at Madison SWCD since September 2024, and his experience with surveying, laying out, and designing conservation practices such as terraces and basins will be beneficial to his new position.
Triston started as the Project Coordinator on September 8, 2026, and shared this introduction:“Hello, My name is Triston Davidson. I am the new North Thompson Project Coordinator for Adair, Union, and Madison Counties. I live in Winterset with my wife Madilyn, but I am originally from Orient. I was in the FFA all four years of high school and was involved in their soil judging team where we were able to succeed and go to state. Growing up in the area I am very familiar with the land and people hoping to assist in any way that I can. After graduation I attended Southwestern Community College where I majored in wildlife management for a year until I went into the work force and held multiple agricultural jobs including my position as the Madison County SWCD Technician for the past two years. Coming from a small town I have always been very involved in agriculture I look forward to continuing my time with the SWCD and improving producer needs and improving my knowledge and learning as much as I can.”
Triston’s duty station will be at the Madison SWCD office in Winterset, but he will be working throughout the watershed in all three counties and visiting the Creston and Greenfield offices on a regular basis.
